The stairways and corridors of the Elizabeth Bay building were carefully restored to encapsulate a feel that was both congruent with the art deco heritage and compliant with contemporary standards, providing an international hotel atmosphere in a relativ modest residential building.

Martindale Hall is one of Australia's best known historic houses and notable pastoral homesteads. Built on gently rising ground it commands a wide view across the countryside. Martindale Hall was made famous as the primary setting for the 1970's film "Picnitc at Hanging Rock".

The entrance hall, with black and white marble floor, leads into the main hall which gives access via a carved staircase to the first floor.
